The Reef 28 All-Inclusive, Adults-Only Resort in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico

The Reef 28 is the newest property for The Reef Resorts in Playa Del Carmen and lucky me, I had the opportunity to experience it. This chic, modern, all-inclusive and adults only resort sits just a block from the Atlantic Ocean and one block from the shops and restaurants of Playa’s main street, 5th Avenue making for a great location. . With 3 restaurants, rooftop pool and bar, and a spa and fitness center on site, there isn’t much reason to leave the comfort of your ‘home’ during your stay.

You’re going to fly into Cancun and want arrange transportation for the 40-60 minute drive into Playa Del Carmen which can all be done with the support of guest services. Once you’re there, most places you could want to go are accessible by foot. As guest of The Reef 28, you have all inclusive access to both of the sister properties, Reef Playacar & Reef Coco Beach, which includes the premium Beach Bar & Non-motorized water sports. This perk is reserved just for guests of The Reef 28.

Tulum and it’s endless Instagramable opportunities is just a short drive away.

The Master Suite makes for a very cozy stay. Complete with a kitchenette, living room with a separate bedroom where you’ll find a jacuzzi and ocean views. There’s two full bathrooms in this room… helloooo privacy!

Dining.

As soon as you arrive you’re greeted by not just the bellman and front desk, but also by the bartender at Lobby Bar 28. At the core of The Reef 28 you’ll find Veinti8cho serving a breakfast buffet in the stunning mailing dining room full of natural light and beautiful details and textures. . Dine at the signature restaurant Cachito Cocina Mexicana with a menu curated by the Culinary Ambassador of Mexico, internationally renowned Chef de Cuisine, Margarita Carrillo. Opt for an Asian inspired dinner at Asiatico or dine with a view at the rooftop lounge and pool Arriba.

TACOS TACOS TACOS. No surprise that the tacos in Mexico were bomb.com. If you’re really feeling adventurous, try the Guacamole with Grasshoppers like I did and connect with your inner Timon & Pumbaa.

Spa.

I love a good spa and could have stayed inside the spa at The Reef 28, Okom, all day long! Hydrotherapy is a complete experience in itself. If you don’t know, I was a massage therapist for 8 years. So for me to say that I had one of the BEST massages I’ve experienced here at Okom is a bold statement! Set yourself up for a full spa experience with a facial and nail treatments that will all have you chillin out max.

Kick-back rooftop poolside, walk a block to the beach and catch the sunrise, or take a stroll through through the streets of Playa del Carmen and enjoy your time in Mexico!
