Valentines Day in the M.I.A

Oh hey love birds, wanna-be-love-birds, birds flying solo (yup, there’s a singles event in this post too). Wherever you are in your relationship status, Valentines day is right around the corner and as much as you try to deny it.. it’s fun to celebrate that little

‘L’ word.

Roses & Reservations are so 2018. Here’s a few different date ideas I’ve come across and just had to share with y’all!

Chef Allen Susser’s Farm To Table Dinner at Books & Books Cafe

Chef Allen is one of my favorite Chefs in the 305 and he is hosting a dinner on Valentines day. Make your reservation for a romantic table for two or opt for a seat at the community table to share a meal making new friends. Who know’s.. if you’re flying solo or with fellow singles, you may even meet your valentine for next year at that table.

Say ‘Hi!’ to Chef Allen for me!

Tickets start at $30

Find LOVE on the Bowling Lane

(Totally was thinking of Rihanna’s’ We found love in a hopeless place when I wrote that line)

Hubban and I had a blast at Kings in City Place Doral recently. Let me tell you, this isn’t your typical bowling alley! This place has more swag than any bowling alley I’ve ever been to. Bowl, play pool, do a lil dance, play some air hockey, or sing like Whitney in their karaoke room. You’ll have a blast here for sure. With a full menu, two bars, and obviously lots of ‘entertainment’ options, this makes for one fun Valentines day!

Promo: Buy 2 games and the 3rd is FREE after 9pm. Valid on Valentines day (2/14/19)

Take a cooking class with Eleanor Hoh

Now, this particular class is actually hosted on Sunday February 17th just a few days after the actual holiday. But maybe Thursday just doesn’t work for you and you have to celebrate a belated Valentines Day. I had the opportunity to take Eleanor aka ‘Wok Star’s cooking class a few months ago and it was an all around great experience. Eleanor is an absolute doll and doesn’t just teach you HOW to cook in a Wok, but what to cook and techniques to improve your efficiency in the kitchen.

Hosted at Patch of Heaven Sanctuary

Tickets start at $90
