La Palma: Italian Cuisine & Gables Charm

DSC_0076

Just a few steps away from the main stretch of Miracle Mile is a restaurant with a stunning courtyard wrapped in bistro lights and all of the Coral Gables charm you could imagine.  In a historic building which was originally opened as a hotel, La Palma has been serving the Gables Italian cuisine since founded in 1996.

On a gorgeous Saturday evening that actually felt a little like fall, the courtyard had not one, but two private parties however when we requested to sit outside (because of course, natural light– where my bloggers at!?) the staff was more than happy to accommodate and set our table for two. While we thought we had the best seat in the house, inside was a pianist and another gentleman swooning the patrons with the sound of his voice and his guitar.

The menu features Northern Italian dishes such as Pappardelle Bolognese,  Tortelloni Giuletta E Rome, and Vitello All Lombarda. This particular evening, we started off with the Prosciutto Di Parma and Insalata Caprese.

For entrees, I opted for the Gamberi Sautee– jumbo shrimp sautéed with white wine lemon, garlic and capers, served over linguini aglio e olio and my +1 at the Filet cooked to perfection.

Save room for dessert! The Crème Brulee and Tiramisu are not to be missed!

Ladies, put on that LBD and Gents pull out your button ups. I would easily recommend La Palma for occasions across the board. Date night, double date, celebrations. Valet as well as street parking is available. Heading to La Palma on a Friday or Saturday? Make plans to head over to the Have Nots Comedy Club at Open Stage just a few blocks away after dinner.

Mark your calendars! La Palma a Opici Wines are is offering a special four course meal and wine pairing for just $35 on October 18th at 8:00pm. Seats are limited. Book Here
